Cats ARE in fact “a different breed.” They require cat-specific care, and an understanding that feline behavior is driven by instincts as a predator AND prey animal. Wondering why the fly in your window is driving your cat mad? That’s a glimpse into their strong predator side. Let’s HUNT! Ever notice how cats sometimes hunch down over their food and check their surroundings before eating it? That’s the prey in them, making sure the coast is clear and they’re safe to eat.
